Hello Everyone!!

Hello Everyone!!

Today I am going to share a miracle or two from everyday this week!!

February 21st:  Today we met April Clinton (cool huh!?). On Sunday she came to the church and met Bro. Christianson, later we got a call and set up a time to go and meet with her. We taught her about the Book Of Mormon and about prayer and she is now on date for baptism on the 24th of March!! They have no food, they showed us their fridge and cupboards, it was such a sad sight! We gave them some of our food but we didn't have much, so we called the bishop and he met with her that very night and helped her to use the Bishops storehouse! As we taught she told us that a hope filled her heart that she has always longed for.

February 22nd: Today was interviews with President Larkin and i asked for a blessing and the blessing literally changed my whole life, i am a completely different person now!

Also, We finally got a hold of Lori Sanchez!! She is amazing! God has prepared her for this message for a long time!! and she recognizes it which is the best part!! With tears in her eyes she described how she felt as we spoke, she confessed that she knows we were sen by God, she spoke if Christs love that she always felt was missing in her life and how she wants to follow him. She accepted baptism and is preparing to be Baptized on the 17th of March!!

February 23rd:  Today the Kent Zone beat its record of on dates!! We have 19 people who accepted and who are progressing toward baptism!! and 16 of them are for the Month of March!! WHOO!!!!

February 24th:  Today we went and knocked on the door of a man named Gary. As we were knocking the next door neighbor opened his door and told us that they moved. We ended up talking to him and he confessed that he is looking for a church and would love to hear our message! GOD IS AMAZING!!

Also, We went on exchanges today and went to Scenic Hill. We went into a lesson of a Part-member family, the 9 year old unbaptized Child came up to us and the first question he asked was "When can i be Baptized?" We put them on date for March 4th!! Now every Area in the Kent zone has an on date at the same time!! (never happened before)

February 25th:  We taught 8 lessons in one day!! (Never happened before!) One of which was to a lady named Chance. She is a young single adult and is amazing!! we were teaching her about the Book of Mormon and what the book of Mormon can do for our lives and she said "i know that you were placed in my life by God, i am not sure why, but i promise i will figure it out!" We invited her to be baptized, she didn't accept yet, but she really wants to be a member of the church!!

Also. The Lake Meridian Elders got a referral from Church headquarters of a 18 yr old girl who wants to know about the Church! They taught her and she is GOLDEN!! she accepted a baptismal date for march 24th then they passed her off to us to teach her in the singles ward!

February 26th:  I am not boasting i promise but this week was the most successful week of my mission!! We taught 27 lessons!! and have 4 progressing investigators!! We taught 9 of those lessons with a memebr fellowship involved in the lesson!! We put 3 new people on date for baptism and i have never been so excited and hopefull in my entire life!!

I love you all so much!! Please write back!!

GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES!!!

Miracles are happening!! GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES!!!
Hello Everyone!!!
Kent is the best place in the world!!! (Besides all the other places I have served..... and Utah haha) Here is just two of the amazing miracles that have been happening!!!

Our Investigator in James Hill, Kiana is her name, has had an amazing change of heart!! They have been teaching her for a little while and she would never accept a baptismal date or really progress. We had a short lesson on the doorstep with her and talked about the adversary and his goal of distraction. We used the analogy of Satan playing Defense. We invited her to be baptized on March 10th and she accepted!! WHOO!! She came to church the following Sunday and the first thing she said to me was, i am about to score, he ain't got nothin' on me! hahaha She stood and announced in Gospel Principles and in Relief Society that she will be baptized on March 10th! It is truly incredible!!

Another Miracle is that Renton gave us (James Hill) a referral for a man from Nepal. That one lesson turned into 3 more on dates and four other new investigators for the Clark lake ward!! That whole house is learning and also there are three more families in that complex that will probably learn too!! WHOO!! GO KENT!!

Since i have been here in Kent I have truly been able to see Gods hand in the Work, We have been lead to 17 new investigators and 8 new people that have accepted a Baptismal Date, and it has only been two weeks!!! GOD IS AMAZING!! I know for a fact now that obedience brings blessings and Exact obedience brings miracles!!! My prayer is that we all see that hand of God in our lives this week, let us pray for the strength to do what God asks and then give thanks for the opprotunity to serve and then ask what we can do next!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!! TALK TO YOU SOON

Feb. 13, 2012

Hello Everyone,

I was finally Transferred from Mercer Island..... I had a good run haha. I have now moved to the city of Kent, Washington. It is a ghetto but it has a lot of humble people looking for the gospel and I hope to see a lot of success here. I cover two wards, The Park Orchard family ward, and teh James Hill young single adult ward. I was called to be a zone leader with Elder Smith. Elder Smith has been one of the missionaries that i have looked up to my whole mission and i am excited to learn everything i can from him. I am very humbled because of my calling as a zone leader, i do not been prepared, or like i can do all that is required of me, but i trust that God will qualify my for my task at hand. Something that i have learned over and over is that Obedience brings blessings and exact obedience brings miracles. The level of you personal commitment to god determines the effect your service to him will bring. God is our father and he will give us what we truly desire, whether good or bad. I am excited to hear from you all and i'll talk to you later!! LOVE YOU!!

HELLO!!!!
I don't know how to express the joy that i have in my heart right now!! I feel like ammon as he was rejoicing to the point that his brethren thought he was boasting, i honestly believe that my biggest trial right now is to saty humble. That has been a struggle for me my whole mission but i feel the lords help now more than ever before!! I have had the best week of my mission so far!! On Tuesday we received a Mormon.org referral for Apple, she learned in Thailand for 1 year, and she was never baptized, she came here to live with her sister for 6 months and wants to be baptized!! Her baptism is this Saturday at 7pm!! WHOO!!! Also Kris Krekow was baptized this past Saturday. We found out that against all odds, even opposing family he made the decision to be baptized because he knew it was true!! GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES!!! my new favorite scripture and my new mission scripture is 2nd Nephi 27:23 which says "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith."
We had a multiple districts blitz this week in Cougar Mountain. Elder Aiken and I went out and tracted an apartment complex after tracting one building and grabbing a sweater from the car we said a prayer pleading for the lords help in allowing us to find someone who needed our help and who we could put on date for baptism. I felt strongly prompted to go to building D, while running there Whitney was placed in our path. We taught her and boldly told her we were sent by god to change her life. With tears in her eyes she told us she cant remember the last time she felt happy. We put her on date for January 21st and as she said the closing prayer she thanked God for being able to feel an ounce of peace and told Him she was willing to do anything to feel that more on her life!! SHE IS AMAZING!!!! I love this work with all of my heart, might, mind, and strength and now i know that God cares for people everywhere and he is preparing the people!!

Trevor

Has been busy teaching a family on his P. so there has not been a lot of writing from him.  Here's his last letter.

This week was amazing! We had a zone conference and it was truly inspiring. Elder Bjarnson and i were sadly not being exactly obedient. It was nothing really bad, but we came to find out that it is the little things that stop us from the ig blessings. President larkin pretty much called everyone to repentance. Our whole mission is not doing very well and we are not a very obedient mission. At the zone conference I recieved insperation to know what i needed to change, i did it right then and there. That night i prayed pleading for forgiveness. I felt so horrible, i felt like i should not even try to ask for forgiveness, not even care. I had thoughts like "just go home, you already messed up." and "your wasting everyone's time here" It was so hard!!! I didnt give up, i stayed there for 2 hours, praying for forgiveness, i did not get up until i felt something from God. Let me tell you, it was incredible. I literally felt His arms around me and i knew i was ok, i know now that God is pleased with me being on my mission, as long as i keep repenting and striving i will have a succesfull mission. I know the lord will bless me with experiences that will sustain me in my testimony for the rest of my life. I love my mission. I love you!!!!!!

Transfers are this week. I found out that our apartment is getting shut down. Our area is going to be put back to one set of Elders. This is very sad because i'm probably getting transfered, sad day. The revised morning sceduale is as follows:

1. 6:15 am Wake up and exercise

2. 6:45 am Showers and prayers (sacred grove experience)

3. 7:30 Family prayer as a mission and breakfast TOGETHER!

4. 8:00 Personal Study (30 min in the Book of Mormon)

5. 9:00 Companionship Study (30 min Doctrine of Christ (lessons))

We are purifying our mission we will see miracles i know it!!! I love all of you, write me back!! Sorry for not writing in a while, super busy, i will be better i promise!!!!

April 25,2011

This week was amazing!!! It seems like the six week famine in Seattle 1 A has ended! We have been really focusing on getting into every members home and been focusing on them being able to trust us. So far it has been working great! We taught 8 member lessons this week and most of them were mebers that we have never been to thier house before! We had a miracle with Ivan this past week. So if you remeber we have been working with Ivan for a long time, and the major obstacles were, he wanted no doubt before he was baptized, and he needed to get married to his GF before he could get married, but both have been married before and neither one wanted to get married. We went to thier house and out of the blue Ivan told us that they are getting Married and that they are probably setting a date in June!!! it's so exciting President, i Love this man and i have wanted im to be baptized forever!!! Now he has finaly gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon, so all is well!
Another Miracle happened this week, We were at the "after Party" of the baptism on saturday and our ward clerk called us and told us there is a man on the phone that wants to be mormon. We called him and set up a time that day to go see him. His name is Aaron Hatcher, he is 26 and we met outside a Starbucks, we taught him basic principles and just got to know him. we were trying to figure out a ride to church for him the next day and our ward is kind of difficult to get rides. Low and Behold A member couple walks by and they agree to take him to church. We were able to put him on date for May 21st and he will do anything and everything necissary to accomplish this goal! After Church we took him on a Church tour with the members who gave him a ride. Since he is single and 26 we are handing them over to University, but as long as he gets Baptized, i'm ok with that! :)
